Right now we are experiencing massive changes both in our personal and collective lives, so we must be mindful of the amount of anxiety, sadness and frustration that so many people are suffering at the same time.

Many, if not most of us, have experienced breakups with family, friends and loved ones, difficulties in the work environment, and generally a feeling of not belonging anywhere.

If it’s any consolation, you are not alone. It’s all part and parcel of this unique and weird journey of transformation. The pain, I’m afraid, comes with the territory, there’s no two ways about it.

It’s also not a steady upwards trajectory, there are ups and down, and highs and lows, as with any healing process. But it does get better, not necessarily because the slope gets less steep, but because as you keep moving forward, you gain strength.

As painful as it is, knowing that you are on the right track gives you the strength to keep going, and the further you go, the stronger you get.

You will continue to miss those you left behind, we are creatures of melancholic habits, and so no matter how much your mind can expose the rationale behind a breakup, the heart always lags behind, clinging to past realities that no longer exist. Give yourself time, it is what it is. Something’s can’t be rushed. But keep moving.

One must always keep moving. Moving to being better and wiser, moving to greater sovereignty and freedom, moving to truth, moving to faith and moving to love, the type we are still trying to comprehend; the love with which the universe was created.

One day, perhaps, we will have evolved enough to begin to understand the immensity and the power of such love. Until then, we will keep moving forward.
